The work

Work that protects families.

When someone a family depends on dies, their income stops, but the mortgage and the grocery bill don’t. Agents help families put coverage in place before that day comes. It’s work that matters, and every part of it can be learned.
  1. Connect with people

Reach people who want to protect their families through inquiries, referrals, and compliant outreach.

  2. Understand their goals

Learn who they’re protecting, what they want covered, and what they can comfortably afford.

  3. Educate

Explain how the types of coverage differ, in plain language, so the family can decide with confidence.

  4. Review options

Compare products from the carriers you’re appointed with and authorized to offer.

  5. Help with the application

Complete the application accurately with the client and submit it to the carrier, which makes the underwriting decision.

  6. Keep them informed

Walk them through underwriting: what the carrier needs, how long it takes, and what happens next.

  7. Help after the sale

Stay the person they call after coverage is in place, for reviews, beneficiary changes, and questions.

Who we’re looking for

You already know how to work.

If you can show up for somebody else’s business every week, take coaching, deal with people, and keep going when the day gets hard, you already have qualities this business rewards.

The rest, from the products to the conversation, can be taught.

Wherever you’re coming from

  • and everywhere else people work hard

  • Dependable

You show up when you said you would.

  • Coachable

You take feedback and put it to work.

  • Consistent

You do the work on the ordinary days, too.

  • Willing to learn

You’re ready to take on a whole new industry.

  • Communicative

You return calls and keep people informed.

  • Self-directed

You can plan your own day and stick to it.

    You finish what you start.

  • Long-term minded

You’re willing to give something real time to grow.

The roadmap

You don’t have to guess what comes next.

The path from your first lesson to real production is already mapped out. Here’s how it runs.

    Production

Issued and paid policies are your production, and production is what you’re paid on.

  9. 09

    Improve

Review your calls, sharpen your skills, and run it again, a little better each time.

What you’re stepping into

You’re not starting from scratch.

The playbook already exists. You’ll step into daily training, virtual office support, experienced producers, scripts, call structure, lead strategy, mentorship, and a workflow designed to keep you moving. Your job isn’t to invent the business. Your job is to learn the system and work it.
  • Pre-licensing, covered

We take care of your pre-licensing course and map out your first steps toward a state license.

  • Structured training

Products, process, and the conversation itself, taught in order so you always know what to learn next.

  • A daily virtual office

Log in with the team from wherever you work.

  • Mentorship

Learn around Hall of Fame producers and experienced leaders who have already built at a high level.

  • Scripts and call structure

  • ProducerPoint

The workspace at the center of the producer workflow. Agent access is rolling out.

  • Lead strategy and follow-up

How to choose your sources, work them, and follow up, taught step by step.

A repeatable path from first call to placed policy.

You bring the effort. We bring the system.

Daily virtual office

Remote doesn’t mean alone.

Producers on our team have access to a daily virtual office where they can learn, ask questions, stay connected, and work around experienced leaders and Hall of Fame producers.
  • Learn

Join training and walk through the products, the process, and the conversation.

  • Ask questions

Bring the call that didn’t go right and get help working through it.

  • Hear how it’s done

Listen as experienced producers work through real situations.

  • Practice

Run the conversation with the team until it feels natural.

  • Get support

Have people to turn to when a day or a whole week gets hard.

  • Stay connected

Stay close to people working toward the same goals you are.

Bet on yourself. Not by yourself.

ProducerPoint

Start with a system, not a blank screen.

Scripts. Call structure. Objections. Follow-up. Training. Your workday. Your next step. ProducerPoint brings the producer workflow together so you can spend less time figuring out how to organize the business and more time learning how to produce.

  • Guided Calls

Call Companion puts the script on screen one step at a time. You choose the prospect’s answer, the next step appears, and you always know where the conversation stands.

  • Scripts & Objections

Your talk tracks sit right beside the call. When a prospect pushes back, the response is one click away, and you return to the same spot in the script.

  • Follow-Ups

After every call, record what happened and set the next step. Callbacks and appointments land in one queue, with anything overdue or due today at the top.

  • Producer Workday

Plan your week, then record your own start, breaks, and end of day. It’s a simple way to hold yourself to the schedule you set.

  • Training Hub

Keep videos, guides, and links organized in the same workspace as your calls. Mark what you’ve finished and pin what you’re studying to your dashboard.

  • Bilingual Workspace

Switch the ProducerPoint interface between English and Spanish in one click. Scripts and objection responses are in English today.

You focus on the conversation. ProducerPoint keeps the rest in order.

Apply to learn more

You place every call and choose every next step. ProducerPoint doesn’t make underwriting decisions or predict outcomes. Agent access is rolling out, and we’ll walk you through where it stands when we talk.

Finding clients

You don’t have to build this from your friends list.

Producers can use lead generation and prospecting strategies to connect with people who have shown interest in protecting their families. We’ll help you understand the options, choose an approach that fits where you are, and learn how to work those opportunities consistently.

You won’t be left to figure out what to say. You’ll learn how to follow up, handle the hard questions, and build the skill to turn activity into production, with experienced producers to ask when you’re stuck.

  • Talk with people who raised their hand.

When someone has already asked about coverage, your first call starts as a conversation instead of a cold pitch.

  • Let good service bring referrals.

Take care of a family and they may introduce you to the people they care about. Over time, referrals can become a real part of your business.

  • Get out in your community.

Local events and marketing you choose to run can put you in front of new people. You decide where to show up.

  • Invest with a plan.

Start small, then put more behind the sources that work for you.

Where NovaPoint helps

  • Understanding each type of lead and what to expect from it
  • Choosing sources and setting a budget before you spend

Leads are a tool. The skill is learning what to do when the phone rings.

Lead questions, answered

Your time

You can start part-time. But give yourself a real shot.

Flexible doesn’t mean effortless. Meaningful momentum takes meaningful time, so aim for 20 to 30+ focused hours a week and keep them. Here’s one way a full day can look once you’ve found your rhythm.
  1. 9:00am

    Training & planning

Plan the day, study, and practice the conversation.

  2. 10:00am

    Lead follow-up

Calls and emails to new inquiries, plus texts where people have opted in.

  3. 12:00pm

    Client conversation

Sit down with a family by phone or video and learn what they want to protect.

  4. 2:00pm

    Applications & service

Submit applications and help clients through underwriting requests.

  5. 4:00pm

    Follow-up

Return calls, confirm appointments, and keep your notes current.

  6. 6:00pm

    Evening appointments

Many clients are only free after their own workday.

One example, not a required schedule. Many people start on evenings and weekends, alongside their current job.

How you’re paid

A different relationship with your income.

At a traditional job, your paycheck is usually decided before the workday starts. In this business, your income follows the business you produce.

For some people, life insurance begins as supplemental income. For others, it can become a full-time career that changes what they thought was financially possible. The opportunity grows as your skill, consistency, and production grow.

You get out what you put in.

You’re not waiting for someone to approve your next raise. You’re learning how to produce more.

Commission

Get paid for production.

When a policy you write is issued and paid, you earn commission based on the premium and your carrier contract.

Contract level

Know what your business pays.

Your commission percentage depends on the carrier, the product, and your contract level. As you get started, we help you understand how the numbers work so you’re not guessing.

Build like a business

Your effort has somewhere to go.

You’re an independent producer. You control your schedule, build your activity, and learn how to reinvest in your business as you grow.

Results vary, but this business rewards activity, consistency, skill, and production. What you build with the opportunity depends on what you put into it.

The NovaPoint Standard

Hard work is the culture here.

Everyone on the NovaPoint team holds to the same standard, from a brand-new producer to the people who train and mentor. We show up to the virtual office, take coaching, keep our activity up, and celebrate every step forward, from a passed exam to a first application.
  • Show up.

Do what you said you’d do, when you said you’d do it. Steady weeks beat a few big days.

  • Stay coachable.

Take feedback and put it to work, and ask when something doesn’t add up. Experienced producers keep learning too, and so do we.

  • Serve people well.

Families trust you with something that matters. Give them accurate information, and keep following through after the application is in.

  • Own the work.

You set your own schedule, so the follow-through is yours too. That includes your results and how you carry yourself with every client.

  • Keep improving.

Study the products, review your calls, and get a little sharper every month. We hold our own training to the same standard.

Questions

Common questions, answered.

Ask us anything. Here’s what people want to know most when they’re thinking about getting started.

No. People come to this work from retail, restaurants, warehouses, healthcare, offices, and businesses of their own. Your background doesn’t decide what you can become here. Bring the willingness to learn, and we’ll teach you the business from the ground up.

Yes, you’ll need a state license before you sell insurance. You don’t need one to apply, and you won’t have to figure out how to get it on your own. We’ll show you what your state requires and help you take the first steps toward your license.

Yes. We take care of your pre-licensing course, so you can focus on learning and getting started. Exam, license application, and fingerprinting fees are separate and vary by state, and we’ll help you plan for them.

Much of it, yes. A lot of the work happens by phone and video, so you can meet with families from home. Some clients will want to sit down in person, and carrier and state rules apply wherever you work.

Yes. Many people start part-time while keeping their current job, and evenings are valuable because that’s when a lot of families are free to talk. Progress follows the hours and consistency you bring, so protect that time. As you get going, aim for 20 to 30+ focused hours a week. That’s the commitment that gives you room to learn the business well.

You earn a commission on every policy you write that’s issued and paid. It’s a percentage of the premium, and the rate depends on the carrier, the product, and your contract level. That’s what makes this different from an hourly job: your activity and your skill show up directly in the business you write.

Some carriers advance part of the first-year commission when a policy is issued. If a policy lapses early, the unearned part can be charged back. There’s no salary and no guaranteed income.

A lead is someone who has raised their hand and said they’re interested in coverage. Some come from online inquiries, others from referrals or events, and they vary in cost and quality. Working them well comes down to a steady follow-up routine, and that’s something we coach.

The products, compliance, the sales process, the systems you’ll work from, and how to run a conversation people trust. You learn it from people who know how to do this, with plenty of practice before your first client conversation.

Training keeps going long after your first weeks, so you keep sharpening your skills while you work.

ProducerPoint is a workspace built for life insurance producers, so a new producer can start with a system instead of a blank screen. A guided Call Companion gives every call structure, scripts and talk tracks stay organized, an objection library sits one click away, and follow-ups and the workday live in one place.

ProducerPoint guides the structure, and the producer makes every call and chooses every answer. ProducerPoint is the workspace at the center of how NovaPoint structures the producer experience, and access for NovaPoint agents is rolling out. Ask us about it when we talk.

Someone from the NovaPoint team will reach out to set up a first conversation. We’ll walk you through how the path works and answer whatever you want to ask. We want to get to know you, too. There’s no pressure, and nothing gets decided on that first call.

Maybe this is your new point forward.

You don’t need to know everything today. You need to decide whether you’re willing to learn, work, and give yourself a real shot. The roadmap, mentorship, and system are already here.
